  1. In the menu on the left, tap Boards. On a phone, tap the ☰ menu button at the top first.

  2. Tap New board, then Blank board (or a template).

  3. Type a Board name. Tick Private board if only you (and people you add) should see it. Tap Create board.

  4. Type in the empty row at the bottom of a group and press Enter. Add columns with Add column.

  5. Open an item and Write an update — type @ to mention someone.

✅ How do I know it worked?

  • The person you mentioned sees a red number on Boards in the menu.

⚠️ Common mistakes

Problem“Kanban needs a status column”.FixAdd a Status column first, then switch the view to Kanban.
ProblemNobody else can see your board.FixIt's private. Open Board settings and add Members, or untick Private board.
