UK holiday entitlement calculator
Free UK holiday entitlement calculator: statutory annual leave in days or hours for full-time, part-time and part-year staff, or 12.07% for irregular hours.
How UK holiday entitlement works
- Almost all workers are entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid holiday a year.
- Someone who works 5 days a week gets 28 days. The legal maximum is 28 days, even for a 6-day week.
- Part-time staff get 5.6 times the days they work each week: 4 days a week gives 22.4 days.
- Employers can include bank holidays in the statutory entitlement.
- A contract can give more holiday than the legal minimum, but never less.
Based on GOV.UK guidance checked in November 2026. This shows the legal minimum for Great Britain only; check the employment contract and GOV.UK holiday entitlement guidance.
