Check my email text

How to use it

  1. Type your email domain: the part after @ in your email address.
  2. Choose your email provider if you know it, so we can check your SPF record includes it.
  3. Read each result. Anything marked Problem comes with the exact DNS record to add.
  4. Paste an email into the second box to check the wording for spam-filter triggers.

Frequently asked questions

Why do my emails go to junk?

Usually because the receiving server can't confirm the email really comes from you. SPF, DKIM and DMARC records in your domain's DNS prove that; without them Gmail and Outlook treat your email with suspicion. The email itself matters too: spammy phrases, link shorteners and emails that are mostly pictures count against you.

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

SPF lists the servers allowed to send email for your domain. DKIM adds a digital signature that proves an email wasn't changed on the way. DMARC tells receivers what to do when those checks fail, and Gmail and Yahoo ask anyone sending to many people to have one.

Where do I add these DNS records?

Wherever your domain's DNS is managed: usually the company you bought the domain from, or a DNS host such as Cloudflare. Open the DNS settings, add a TXT record with the name and value shown, and allow a few hours for the change to spread.

Do you save my domain or my email?

No. We look up your domain's public DNS records, show you the results and keep them for a few minutes so a repeat check is quick. Email text you paste is checked once and never saved.
