Connect Stripe to take card payments
Connect your own Stripe account so customers can pay invoices by card. Money goes straight to you.
Before you start
- A Stripe account (free to open) at dashboard.stripe.com.
The steps at a glance
Step 1 of 4
In Stripe go to Developers → API keys → Create restricted key. Name it “CompanyFlowHQ” and set Checkout Sessions to Write.
Create the key and copy it. It starts with rk_live_.
Tap Settings in the menu, then tap Payments in the "Jump to a section" row (or scroll down to the Payments box).
Under Card payments (Stripe), paste into Stripe secret or restricted key and tap Test and connect.
What the code looks like
Find it: dashboard.stripe.com → Developers → API keys → Create restricted keyPaste it: Settings → Payments → Stripe secret or restricted key
Not this: pk_live_… — that's the publishable key. It can't take payments from here.
✅ How do I know it worked?
- The box shows Disconnect and the pay page offers card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
⚠️ Common mistakes
