Sign in with Face ID or fingerprint (passkeys)

Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint or Windows Hello instead of typing codes.

Before you start

  • A phone or computer with Face ID, fingerprint or a screen lock.

  1. Tap Settings in the menu, then tap Security in the "Jump to a section" row (or scroll down to the Two-step sign-in box).

  2. Under Face ID and fingerprint (passkeys), tap Add Face ID or fingerprint.

  3. Type a Device name (e.g. My iPhone) and tap Set up Face ID or fingerprint.

  • You see Face ID / fingerprint added. Next time, tap Sign in with Face ID or fingerprint.

⚠️ Common mistakes

ProblemYour browser doesn't offer it.FixUse an up-to-date Safari, Chrome or Edge, and turn on a screen lock.
ProblemYou lost the phone.FixRemove it from the list on another device, and sign in with an email code or recovery code.
